Western Tidewater Free Clinic - Breast Resilience Through Education , Assessment , Screening and Treatment (BREAST) Program
BREAST Program will focus on outreach, education, screening, early detection and interventional treatment to improve breast cancer survival rates and improve the state of breast health among medically indigent and uninsured women in our service area. WTFC will increase enrollment of female patients in our Women’s Health Programs by 25%, provide 400 screening mammograms, education, diagnostic testing and referrals, and implement monthly outreach efforts

Hampton Health Department – Breast health for the Uninsured
Breast Health for the Uninsured will screen and provide diagnostic services to 140 low income, uninsured women living in Hampton. 70% of the women will be African American, Hispanic, and/or Southeast Asian and 10% will be women with physical or intellectual handicaps.

Three Rivers Health District -Three Rivers Breast Cancer Education Program
The Breast Cancer Education Program will target at least 200 rural African American females in Gloucester, Lancaster, Mathews, Middlesex and Northumberland Counties. Small group work- shops will be conducted on breast health, breast cancer early detection, and breast self-exams Assistance will be provided in determining eligibility and access to care.

Peninsula Institute for Community Health - Complete Breast Health
The Complete Breast Health program promotes education, prevention and screening services for uninsured/underinsured and minority women. The program offers breast health services for patients through already established relationships with a primary care provider and established medical home.

Sentara Obici Hospital - Breast Health Education and screening in Rural Suffolk and Surrounding Areas
Sentara Obici Hospital will provide 100 screening mammograms to uninsured women, ages 40 to 65, in the rural areas of Isle of Wight, Franklin City and South Hampton Additionally they will be partnering with local churches to educate women in Western Tidewater on self-breast exams and mammography.

Eastern Shore health District - "Life Matters"
The purpose “Life Matters” is to increase screening rates, and provide continuous comprehensive access to breast health care for uninsured and underinsured residents. Target population includes low literacy, rural women of minority decent. Key activities will involve individualized case management, patient navigation and outreach/education . “Life Matters” will screen an additional 100 women and provide diagnostic services for an additional 40 men and women.

Riverside Health System - Breast Health Alliance Program (BHAP)
The central focus of the BHAP program seeks to reduce breast cancer health disparities for women in our community (with a special concentration on women living in rural areas) by improving access to breast screening services and breast health educational offerings through outreach opportunities. BHAP will provide 200 screening mammograms and additional diagnostics as warranted.

Minority Health Coalition of South Hampton Roads - Breast Health Outreach Education
Breast Health Outreach Education program targets a population of women that are survivors of domestic violence and are temporary residents of area shelters. The program will educate women to perform Breast Self-Examinations (BSE), identify the signs of breast cancer and cervical cancer, provide a resource directory of local health agencies that provide breast cancer screening and care services.

Beach Health Clinic - The Empowered Woman
The project provides screening mammograms for 350 impoverished and minority women who are residents of Virginia Beach, who cannot afford health insurance, are ineligible for Medicaid or Medicare and live at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. By providing mobile mammography at the Clinic transportation costs are alleviated. The program also provides education relevant to breast health, self- examinations, and cancer treatment.

Mt. Sinai Gospel Tabernacle - "Healing Measures"
The purpose of “Healing Measures” is to provide a means of early detection as well as breast cancer awareness among high risk populations on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. The program concentrates on the healing of survivors and the quality of life for the recently diagnosed, along with promoting awareness to the rest of the population. “ Healing Measures” works in collaboration with a variety of community health centers, the VA Health Department, and the Riverside Cancer Center in the area to make referrals for testing and treatment options.

Northern Neck Free Clinic - Well Woman Clinic Mammograms
Well Woman Clinic Mammograms educates patients on the need for mammograms, improve patient compliance in obtaining the tests when they are determined medically necessary, and reduce wait times. The Komen Northern Neck Free Clinic partnership will provide screening and diagnostics for about 300 women.
