Team Awards

The Susan G. Komen Tidewater Affiliate Race for the Cure® is all about TEAMS!

Our Race teams can change history—the history of breast cancer—by helping the Komen Tidewater Affiliate Race for the Cure reach record-breaking levels of Race participation and fundraising. A Race for the Cure team is a group of 10 or more participants who join together for the Race season to have fun and raise funds to empower the breast cancer movement.

Teams consist of 10 or more people, which can include Sleep-in members and VIPs but not Kids for the Cure members. Team Members must be registered on or before October 15, 2012 at 4:00pm. At this time, our largest team in each category will be announced. After that date, participants may still register for the Race as individuals, and they will have to pick up their packet individually at the Pre-Race Expo on October 19, 2012.

Team Awards

Team awards help drive the friendly competition that makes each year better than the last! Numbers for awards are calculated for registrations and donations received by a specific date. Team members may continue to raise funds up until November 20, 2012 to be considered for the Top Fundraising Awards. However, any funds collected after the cut-off date will not be considered for award calculation purposes.  Funds November 21 and after will still be collected and applied to the general Race fundraising for that year.  We appreciate your hard work in helping us reach our goal.  You are making a difference in the lives of so many women locally through the grants and globally through research and development.
